Site Slideshow

Since the 2/5/2011 the Plugin Site Slideshow is via wordpress.org accessible and installable. It has found out since then already pleasantly a lot of downloads has taken place what motivates me of course to carry out constantly improvements.
The version 2 being now is a big step forward. A huge number of restrictions are get rid of and with it the Plugin is applicable for much more websites than up to now, because not only the standard gallery is supported but all img tags in the articles and pages as well as the New Generation Gallery with the Shortcode [Gallery not found]
Here now a few more descriptions:
A Slideshow which shows from every article or every page exact one of the available pictures is automatically generated. To the picture the article title is given. The article belonging to the picture is linked with. The Slideshow can be seen as a running content table of all pages and articles which contain pictures. In this manner the visitors attention is drawn to the older articles without additional searching expenditure.

Automatic generation of a Slideshow to the representation of all articles and pages which contain pictures
The pictures can be members of the standard gallery and must not be inserted in the articles. In this manner one can also represent articles in the Slideshow in which no pictures are shown directly
The order of the standard gallery is taken over, i.e. the picture with the ordinal 1 is chosen or the first uploaded picture if no order was defined.
The pictures which are shown only as an img tag in the article, without belonging to any gallery, are also inserted in the Slideshow, the first appearing picture is taken.
The first picture which is put on in the suitable table of the NGG is also taken if they are integrated with help of the Shortcode from the New Generation Gallery.

Option page

On the option page Slideshow in the Dashboard several parametres can be adapted.

The speeds are put quite optimally. For test purposes one should reduce them drastically, e.g., on 100 to be able to estimate the completeness and also dimensions differences in a short time.

Auto Speed: Waiting period before the next picture starts
Image Fading Speed: The soft build of the picture can be steered here. Only one transitional form was admitted tasteless, because all the others make the side nervous. Point
Show title of post: Generally, to suppress the announcements of the title doesn’t make sense, but there may be uses where one prefers the suppression.
Choose random modus: To put a firm order, may make sense even for test purposes, otherwise it irritates to have to see always the same pictures.
Number of slides: The picture number restriction contradicts a little the sense of this plugin to be reminded of longest forgotten articles. At the moment this option is also not activated.
Gallery width: With the proportional width information is guaranteed that the available width is used, indeed, smaller pictures are not scaled on the total width. Should several small pictures be present, it is sensible to determine the available width and to put in as px.
Gallery height: The gallery height can be given only in px. It should not be chosen too largely, otherwise we get unsightly gaps to the widget. Too high pictures are cut off below, unfortunately, and also a perhaps given bottom border.
Slideshow Border: The border is always drawn around the picture. As default a fine white border is given. Here one should experiment. Instead of hexadezimale colour values all the others can be used, of course also the firm values: red, blue, green, white etc.
Slideshow background: With transparent you normally get the best adaptation.
Background of the heading: Also here the best choice might mostly be transparent
Text colour of the heading: if the background is black, the text colour must be adapted, otherwise you cannot see the black font of course.
Font size of the heading: Here all units are available, adapt it as you like.
